With my frequent travels to Bali - usually every couple of months to meet with manufacturers I am always asked what is on my to - do list. My current top places to eat, stay, sleep & play:
El Kabron, Uluwatu
Tucked away on the cliffs of Uluwatu is my favourite Spanish restaurant - around 15 minutes off the main road through bamboo forests and pot holed roads it is well worth the trek. Spanish tapa's, good wine and amazing company are the recipe for magic here. Make sure you make it for sunset - it really is something else. 2q
Mutiara Resort, Seminyak
If you are looking for something with a little bit of a cheaper price tag and the convenience of being at a resort with prime location (room service, spa, gym) I highly recommend this resort. It is a 3 minute walk to the Seminyak strip, spacious rooms with out door bathrooms and in room cooked breakfast each morning. I like staying here when I travel solo - it has 24 hour security, friendly staff and is luxe living on a budget.
Finns Beach club, Uluwatu
My favourite Sunday adventure. For $300,000 rupiah ($30AUD) you can spend the day at the beautiful Finns beach club, a beach shack style day club nestled at the bottom of the lush Semara Resort drinking cocktails, admiring the clear waters, and indulging in the good vibes. I always hire a driver for the day and head out there around 11am - just before sunset on Sunday you should venture to Single Fin, Uluwatu, the best Sunday night party.
La Favela, Seminyak –
Even saying that name makes me happy - the best bar on Seminyak strip. I seriously could party here every night, with its chilled vibes, amazing interior and exterior design & the best R&B – hip hop music this place wins in my books. Every night is good - just get there and thank me later.
